CLARK Material Handling Company, one of the world’s premier material handling companies, today introduced the new S-SERIES forklift trucks, the latest advancement of its “heart of the line” family of internal combustion trucks. The S-SERIES Lift Trucks is a “clean sheet” design initiative featuring collaboration among Engineering, Sales & Marketing and end users across North America, Asia, Australia and Europe.

The S-SERIES is the culmination of 3 years of global design input, prototyping and rigorous field testing. Produced in both LPG, dual fuel and diesel configurations the S-SERIES forklift platform is designed for use in all major global markets.

The S-SERIES features SMART STRONG SAFE design elements. SMART design elements include interactive dash, interactive on-board diagnostics, engine/powertrain protection monitoring, built in service tool, on-board reporting of operator controlled functions.



STRONG design elements include force-cooled wet disc brakes standard, fully welded heavy gauge frame, nested I-beam upright, six- roller carriage, external side-thrust rollers, stamped steel hood and side panels.

SAFE design elements include automatically applied parking brake, speed limit control, increased visibility from the operator compartment, optional rear-view camera, operator restraint system including high visibility orange seat belt, standard CLARK OPS (Operator Presence System) system and a design that that optimizes the center of gravity to maximize truck stability.

Chuck Moratz, CLARK’s Senior Vice President of Global Engineering shared his thoughts on the S-SERIES family, “S-SERIES development started 3 years ago with a clean-sheet design focused on
enhancing the experience of the operator that spends his or her working hours operating a lift truck. With low brake pedal efforts, convenient hood mounted levers, reduced noise and vibration, easy on-off access and many other operator-focused details, the feedback from operators at field test sites is the S-SERIES is the truck they want to drive.”

Like all new equipment products in the CLARK system, the S-SERIES is fully supported in the PartsPRO Plus service support program, CLARK technical publications including operator, service and parts manuals, and through CLARK aftermarket parts.
